Design and Analysis of the Feedback Control Loops for Li-Ion Battery Charger
Abstract—This paper presents the design and analysis of the feedback control loops for a DC/DC converter used for charging Li-Ion batteries with a constant current – constant voltage charging algorithm. The design is performed in Matlab®, and it allows the component selection to be verified with LTSpice®. The circuit under investigation features the use of the LTC4020 integrated circuit developed by Analog Devices as controller for the converter.
