On the analysis of signals with special characteristics useful in physiology

There are signals with special characteristics, used to highlight the pathology of biological cells/tissues. Knowing very well the characteristics of these signals is important to avoid influencing or damaging the analyzed environment. The purpose of this article is to present some signals associated with mathematical functions and which can be used with certain precautions. In particular, functions that have Fourier spectrum, but without the direct current (DC) component, an important feature to avoid electrolysis in the analyzed environments, are sought. To analyze these particularities, the Scilab programming environment was used as an application, which also has the advantages of lower cost and portability (can be used in Microsoft and Linux operating systems).
